Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you apply and how we use it to manage applications, communicate with accepted students, and keep the program running smoothly.

Information we collect

When you apply, we collect the details you submit: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, optional email address, current status, and why you want to learn web development.

If you are accepted and send payment confirmation, we may keep the confirmation details needed to match your payment to your seat. We do not collect bank card details through this website.

We may also receive basic technical details connected to the site or submission, such as the time submitted, browser, device, source page, and page analytics.

How we use it

We use your information to review your application, contact you about the program, confirm next steps on WhatsApp or email, manage accepted students, and improve the application flow.

We do not use your information for automated decisions that decide whether you join.

We do not sell, rent, or trade applicant information.

Tools and service providers

Application details may be handled through the trusted tools we use to run the site, receive submissions, store records, send email notifications, contact applicants, and deliver classes. These may include Vercel for hosting and analytics, Neon Postgres for application records, Gmail or another email provider for notifications, WhatsApp or Instagram for applicant communication, and Google Workspace or Google Meet for classes.

Some of these global platforms may process or store data outside Tanzania. We use them only to operate sweJJcodes and deliver the program.

How long we keep it

We keep application information for as long as needed to review applicants, manage the cohort, keep basic program and payment records, and handle follow-up questions.

If you ask us to remove your contact details from our active list, we will do so unless we need to keep limited records for payment, dispute, safety, or legal reasons. We may delete inactive application contact details 12 months after your last class or last meaningful interaction with sweJJcodes.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or remove your application information. Message sweJJcodes on Instagram with the details you used to apply.

Applicants under 18

If you are under 18, apply with permission from a parent or guardian. We may ask for a parent or guardian to be involved before confirming your place in the program.

Security

We use reasonable steps to keep application information private, but no website or online service can guarantee perfect security.
